Yummy Banana Pancakes

Every morning I take a piece of fruit from the bowl, but kept avoiding the bunch of bananas as day by day they ripened. This morning I was about to throw them away and I decided I should try and make something with them. So  I threw a few ingredients in a bowl and voila yummy banana pancakes were made. I used my flat mate and boyfriend as guinea pigs and they loved them, so did I!

1 Banana, mashed plus extra for the topping
1 Egg
200ml Almond Milk ( you can use any type)
30g Melted Butter
125g Plain Flour
1 tsp baking powder
Spray Oil
Cinnamon (optional)

Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, in a separate bowl mash one banana. Crack the egg into the dry mixture and mix till almost combined then add the banana along with the milk until it looks like batter then add the melted butter.

Heat the pan and add the oil. Take a scoop of batter into the pan. Once the batter starts to bubble u, flip them over. After 30 seconds place on a plate, repeat this process till all the batter is finished.

Serve with either honey or maple syrup and topped with slice bananas.

Best thing about these pancakes that they can be frozen, so cook in batch and take them out when needed.

Do you have any tips for using up left over fruit?

My Pregnancy @ 23 Weeks

I’ve been so hungry this week, eating things like salt and vinegar crisp which are strange as I hate salt and vinegar.

Weight gain: 3 lbs gain, over the past 2 weeks

Physically: My hormonal acne is so bad this week. Even my mum has commented on how painful it looks.

Food Cravings: None.

Emotionally: I have not been feeling very confident due to the acne, I wish I could go to sleep wake up and they would be all gone.

Movement: I’ve gotten used to the movements. The bump moves more in the evening.

Gender: It’s a GIRRRLLLLL

Miss anything? Seafood

Best Moment This Week: Finding out the sex of the baby, I’m really excited as we can start thinking about names.

Worst moment this week: The Sonographer was still unable to measure the spine. After making me lay on and left and right side, sending me out for a walk and drinking a fizzy drink and chocolate. She hardly moved and once again was laying in an awkward position.

I'd love to read your updates too!

My Dinner Experience With Pink Clove

As quite a new blogger I was delighted to be invited to the Pink Clove bloggers event in Mayfair a few weeks ago. I had a lovely time and it was great to see their designs in the flesh - I've finally got time to write about it, so here goes!

Who Are Pink Clove?

I discovered Pink Clove via twitter, as the legion of plus size bloggers have been raving about their products for the past few weeks. As a brand new plus size retailer they were bound to get the attention of many people, but it really is their products that have secured their success so far!

If you browse the Pink Clove website you'll see that they have a massive range of items with sizing right up to a 32! With lots of dresses available for less than £25 you're spoilt for choice when it comes to what you want to buy on the site.

Getting Ready

My flat mate and our friend Lucia from www.ucantwearthat.com were all attending so we decided to get ready together. Lucia is a fantastic make up artist and so gave us makeovers before we left. I was really happy with the makeup at the end of the session and once I was dressed up felt more than prepared to dine in Mayfair - as you do darling!

The restaurant was set in a lovely courtyard area... Here's me posing outside in the sunshine :)

What Was The Evening Like?

We were invited to the Hush Restaurant in Mayfair and taken upstairs to a private function room. As soon as we arrived we were offered cocktails and invited to browse the racks of Pink Clove clothing. With three racks to choose from, we really were spoilt for choice! After that there was a sit down meal with everyone else that was invited - around 10 bloggers in total! The food was lovely!

Was I Well Catered For?

Yes! As soon as I got there I declined the cocktail that was given to me and explained I was pregnant. They made me a non-alcoholic version straight away and all night kept my glass topped up with apple juice - which was a really nice touch!

What Did I Like Best?

There is so much on the Pink Clove website and at the event that caught my eye. I really think the website is a fantastic addition to plus size fashion as they offer something for everyone. However this dress caught my eye straight away and i couldn't resist a purchase. I'm just waiting for it to get here - I'll let you all know what it's like.

Have any of you tried Pink Clove yet? What did you think?

My Pregnancy @ 22 Weeks

Sleeping so much better this week, I am having some vivid dreams which has been interesting.

Weight gain: I’ve decided not to weigh myself this week. I don’t want to start obsessing over the scales.

Physically: I got my swab results back from my midwife; turns out I have a yeast infection which is very common in pregnancy. I have also been getting dizzy spells.

Food Cravings: Ice cold water, it has to be bottled as I can taste the difference!!

Emotionally: I’m a bit of an emotional wreck, crying over TV programmes, my nails breaking and not being able to find my keys lol

Movement: The kicks are getting stronger and frequent.

Gender: No Clue

Miss anything? Egg Benedict, most restaurants make their own mayo which is made of raw eggs

Best Moment This Week: Getting my baby shower invites back from Vista print, which I’m very impressed with. (Blog post coming up soon)

Worst moment this week: Going to our anomaly scan, the bump was lying in an awkward position so was unable to get all the measurements or find out the sex. We have another scan booked in for next week. Fingers crossed it will be better

I'd love to read your updates too!
