I always try to be conscious about what I give Darcy to snack on, especially hard when Darcy is slowly starting to reel off all the things she has decided she no longer likes to eat.
Little Go Gos are delicious mini wholegrain oat biscuits. Made with chia and flax seeds and protein, they have been designed to release energy slowly. Each packet contains fibre and 3g of protein, which is important for growth and healthy muscles for little ones.
Little Go Gos are available in three flavours; Vanilla, Raspberry and Ginger. I felt that the Vanillia and Raspberry flavour weren't as flavoursome as the Ginger offering. Ginger turned out to be our favourite and it's definitely an healthier option than the Ginger Nut biscuits Darcy enjoys.
The biscuits were not very sweet, which is definitely as a positive for me, as Darcy does like sweet items. They are rather oaty with a nice crunch, if i were to compare the texture to anything, i would say similar to an wholewheat biscuit.
What I also enjoyed about Little Go Gos was the packaging. Each packet has a sticker on the back which could be put on clothing or used to reseal the packet, which is really handy for me as i am always finding leftover food and crumbs at the bottom of my bag due to Darcy's half eaten food. Little Go Gos are an delicious snack for both little ones and adults, we will definitely be purchasing them again. You can find Little Dish productsin Asda, Sainsburys and Tesco and are suitable for 12 months upwards.

I don't know about you but Chocolate Cornflake cakes reminds me of my childhood. Milk or white chocolate everyone loves a crispy cornflake cake whatever their age. I had lots of fun in the kitchen making these with Darcy, I'm sure you will with your little ones too.
Ingredients
50g butter
200g white chocolate
2 tbsp golden syrup
100g cornflakes
1 packet of Mini Eggs
Instructions
Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a pan on a low heat until melted
Allow to cool
Pour over the cornflakes and gently stir ingredients together
Arrange 12 cupcakes cases into a cupcake tray
Spoon mixture into cases
Add one or two eggs in the center of each cake
Put in the fridge to set
If you don't like cornflakes you can also use Rice Krispies or Shredded Wheat
Last year was the first time I put together a Easter basket for Darcy which was lots of fun. So I couldn't wait to make one this year for her especially now she is older. If you are still looking for ideas what to put in your little ones Easter basket look no further.
I know Darcy will be getting lots of chocolate treats from relatives and friends, so I wanted to try and limit the amount I put in her basket. Obviously I couldn't put together a basket without an Easter egg, I also got her some jelly beans, a bunny marshmallow lolly and a "decorate your own cookie" all form Home Bargains. Darcy is always pointing out Lindt bunnies so I got her some whilst shopping in Sainburys. They are currently 3 for 99p at the moment.
The Works is always my go to for books and art materials. Darcy is really into colouring at the moment so I got her two Activities book. I'm keeping the theme going from last years Easter basket and have got her a Easter theme book as well.
For the finishing touches I got Darcy some bunny ears and a hopping bunny from Home Bargains, a Dora The Explorer Easter theme DVD which is over a hour and a half long. This will keep her entertained whilst I'm cooking the roast and last but not least a little sheep from The Works. Other basket ideas:

This yearmarks my second Mother's Day as an single parent. Last year, Facebook and Twitter was flooded with pictures of dads and their children teaming up to make their Mum's day special. This year, the team at Lewisham Shopping invited me to check out their shopping centre and gave me £80 to spend on gifts just for me, myself and i. I was excited to check out the shopping centre and well, get shopping! So, what did I manage to get...
BHSI don't have a local BHS, so i took full advantage of my visit to the Lewisham branch. I love a bargain and Imanaged to pick up this spacious bag for just £17.99, reduced from £29.99. I resisted temptation to pick up some of the beautiful kids clothing i spotted for Darcy but i was very impressed with their selection.
EvansBeing plus sized, Evans is one of favourite stores for fashion staples. After having Darcy and with my current weight loss endeavours, i thought it a great idea to get measured for a bra. Offered free of charge in store, I was measured by Sharon who was lovely and made me feel at ease. She talked me through the fitting, suggested what type of bras would be good for my shape and how to wear a bra correctly. And guess what, it turned out I have been wearing the wrong size. With Sharon's advice, i treated myself to a black multi-way bra for £17.99.
As well as clothing and lingerie, Evans also offer footwear in sizes 4 - 10 and in wide/extra wide fittings. If you notice from most of my outfit of the day posts, I'm a huge fan of boots. I got these beauties in the sale for just £25.
TK MAXXOh how i could while away a few hours in TK MAXX. It has been one of my favourite high street stores for many years, if only for the wide range of beauty and homeware products.
I purchased a O.P.I FabulousFive set for £14.99, a bargain considering it is currently retailing for £22.46 on their own website. I also picked up a Travalo for £4.99.
There were so many items i could have happily purchased throughout the store, that youvould never struggle to find your Mum a Mother's Day gift or a little treat for yourself.
NextOk, ok, as you can tell this shirt dress is not for me. I can't go shopping without getting Darcy a little something. It was £14 and can be worn as a dress or a longline top with leggings. I'm a huge fan of the quality of their clothes, they wash up very well. Next had some great items in store, so I was spoilt for choice.
After all that shopping, I stopped at the Marks and Spencer's cafe for a well deserved coffee and a slice (wedge) of cake. It was a great opportunity to reflect upon my day and rest my weary feet.
This was my first Lewisham Shopping experience and I was pleasantly surprised. I found it easy to get to by public transport and they had a wide selection of top high street stores such as BHS, H&M, M&S, The Body Shop, TK MAXX, Evans and Tiger.
