Win a Product of the Year goodie bag worth £180

For the past 2 years I have been fortunate to be a member of the judging team for Product Of The Year. I love taking part as I get to share with brands what I like and don't like about their products,  not only as a consumer but also as a mother. When I go shopping and see the Product of the Year logo I know I'm picking up a high quality product which has been reviewed by other consumers.

I unfortunately, was unable to attend the Awards ceremony this year which were held at the Sheraton Grand London Park Hotel and was hosted by the fabulous Rory Bremner. Looking at the pictures it looks like everyone had an amazing time.

The Team over at Product of the Year were lovely enough to send me over a wonderful goodie bag. I have to say the bag was absolutely heaving with products!!. I was also extremely happy to see some of the products I voted for had won. You can view all the winners here

Some of my favourite products included;

Nivea 3 in 1 Cleasing Micellar wipes, not only effectively remove makeup but also thoroughly cleanses and leaves your skin moisturised and soft.

As I suffer with hay fever,  Benadryl naturease nasal spray was always going to be a winner especially as it is 100% natural.

Boots Soltan Protect & repel suncare lotion is not only good value for money. It is non sticky and smells lovely.

Oral B 3D White Luxe toothpaste and whitening accelerator have really helped me naturally whiten my teeth without having to pay to see a professional.

As a mum I am always washing clothes.  Ariel 3 in 1 Pods wash the clothes really well and Comfort pure conditoner leaves them lovely and soft.

Cheerios Oat Crisp are loved by all of us in the family, not too sweet, crunchy, healthy and filling,  whats not to like?.

I'm always making sure that we take multivitamins. Bassetts multivitamins are perfect for children aged 7 - 11.

Once again I have teamed up with Product of the Year to give one of you lucky readers a goodie bag worth £180.

Spring Wardrobe Update*

I am loving that the weather is finally starting to get better - I know we have had the odd glitch with sunny days, but generally we're starting to see more sunshine than rain, which is always a good thing.

With the change of season I have started to think about what I'll be wearing for Spring/Summer 2017. I've found myself getting somewhat lazy with my outfits, relying on skinny jeans, checked shirts or black jumpers with ankle boots. Whilst I'll never turn my back on my beloved black skinny jeans, I find myself daydreaming of wearing floaty tops and cute swing dresses. I'm rather excited for the new season and wardrobe.

Sunglassess // Bag // Sandals // Jeans // Top // Kimono

I love anything that's both cute and comfortable - practical things that can be worn while chasing a toddler usually win in my book, but occasionally I like to step out of my comfort zone and mix things up a bit. I'm determined to clear out all the clothes that I do not wear anymore and invest in a few Spring-like pieces such as this floral kimono from New Look.

I also went on one of my favourite website Lovethesales. I love how simple the site is to navigate as it searches sale items from 500 UK retailers including; Evans, Simply Be and Dorothy Perkins. There are lots of different filters to shop by colour, price, brand, size and more, tis is tetypeof site that you do not have to feel guilty about!. If you sign up to the website you get even better deals

How will you be updating your spring wardrobe this year?

Cadbury Creme Egg Ice Cream

Last Easter I shared with you my white chocolate Easter egg nest recipe . This Easter Sunday, we will be finishing off our lunch with some Cabury Creme Egg ice cream. Not only is it delicious and easy to make. You don't need a ice cream maker,

  • 300ml milk
  • 300ml double cream
  • 125 Caster Sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon  vanilla extract
  •  12 mini Cadbury Creme Eggs chopped
  • 100g grated plain chocolate
  1. Pour the milk and vanilla extract into a saucepan
  2. Beat together the egg yolks and sugar until they are pale and creamy. Stir in the milk, return the liquid to the saucepan and stir continuously over a low heat until it thickens and coats the back of your spoon. Make sure the mixture does not boil
  3. Remove the pan from the heat, and leave to cool
  4. Once cool, add the chopped Cadbury Creme Eggs and grated chocolate and stir well
  5. Transfer into a tub and place into the freezer
  6. Every 30 to 45 minutes bring out the mixture and stir until mixture is frozen
To make this extra special I found some easter bunny paper cups so D could have the experience of her treat when we go to the cinema or theatre at a much cheaper price

Lots of variations of this ice cream, such as smarties, flake or for the grown ups bounty

Easter Basket Ideas for Toddlers

We're officially in April, which means Easter is going to be here before we know it. This will be my third year making D an Easter Basket. This year however I am toning it down a little. I'm getting bits which she actually needs and will use post the Easter Holiday. I'm also not getting her an Easter egg this year, as last year she got loads!!

Easter Basket Toddler Ideas

Bunny Crown // Book // Lip Balm // Umbrella // Plastic Eggs // Chalk

Like most kids her age D loves dressing up, my eyes were instantly drawn to this quirky bunny crown and matching wand. I know for sure she will not want to take it off for a long long time

I also came across this book whilst browsing on Amazon. D has a similar Christmas theme one and it will make a brill addition to her ever-growing book collection.

I've decided to get her a lip balm as she insists on borrowing mine all the time! You can't really go wrong with a birthday cake flavour one can you?

We've got to prepare for those pesky April Showers, her beloved Minnie Mouse umbrella recently broke. This will make a fab replacement.

Although I said I wasn't going to get her an Easter Egg. It doesn't mean she can't have a few sweets. I'm planning on filling these empty plastic eggs with sweets, and some cheap and cheerful bits and bobs from the Pound shop.

As it's now getting a little warmer, we will be spending more time in the garden. These egg shape chalks will keep her entertained for a few hours at least.

The older she becomes, the more excited I get looking for fun things to put in her basket. I know she will be more excited for the edible things, but I am sure she will appreciate the other bits and bobs.

I'm really looking forward to spending some quality time with D over the Easter holiday.  We go on our annual Easter egg hunt and than sit down to a scrumpious Sunday Lunch with her great grandparents.

Have you got any fun Easter basket ideas? I would love to see them
