I attended the #BYOM (Bring Your Own Mum) event hosted by Not On The High Street and Mumsnet to celebrate all things mum orientated. It was my first opportunity to spend quality time with my mum since I’ve had Darcy, which made it a even more special occasion. We got glammed up, threw on our glad rags and headed to the rather beautiful No 5 Cavendish Square where the event was held.
After being welcomed with glasses of champagne and cocktails, I got all snap happy before heading over to the photo booth. Mum and I had such a giggle trying on the props, mum rocked that blue hat!

We met Holly Tucker, founder of Not On The High Street and she was very welcoming and enthusiastic about #itsamumthing. Despite probably being the most in demand woman in the room, she spoke to us and my mum nattered away about her love of all things NOTHS and the items she had bought previously from the site.
There were so many beautiful items showcased in glass boxes. Highlights included the glitter clutch bag and floral telephones.
The evening commenced with Holly giving a touching speech about her Mum; noting that without her support and encouragement she wouldn’t have achieved what she has today. Her words really resonantated with me because of all the support and guidance my own mother has given me.
