Cadbury Creme Egg Ice Cream

Last Easter I shared with you my white chocolate Easter egg nest recipe . This Easter Sunday, we will be finishing off our lunch with some Cabury Creme Egg ice cream. Not only is it delicious and easy to make. You don’t need a ice cream maker,

Ingredients

  • 300ml milk
  • 300ml double cream
  • 125 Caster Sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon  vanilla extract
  •  12 mini Cadbury Creme Eggs chopped
  • 100g grated plain chocolate

Instructions

  1. Pour the milk and vanilla extract into a saucepan
  2. Beat together the egg yolks and sugar until they are pale and creamy.
Stir in the milk, return the liquid to the saucepan and stir
continuously over a low heat until it thickens and coats the back of your spoon. Make sure the mixture does not boil
  3. Remove the pan from the heat, and leave to cool
  4. Once cool, add the chopped Cadbury Creme Eggs and grated chocolate and stir well
  5. Transfer into a tub and place into the freezer
  6. Every 30 to 45 minutes bring out the mixture and stir until mixture is frozen

To make this extra special I found some easter bunny paper cups so D could have the experience of her treat when we go to the cinema or theatre at a much cheaper price

Lots of variations of this ice cream, such as smarties, flake or for the grown ups bounty

Enjoy!
