Last Easter I shared with you my white chocolate Easter egg nest recipe . This Easter Sunday, we will be finishing off our lunch with some Cabury Creme Egg ice cream. Not only is it delicious and easy to make. You don’t need a ice cream maker,
Ingredients
- 300ml milk
- 300ml double cream
- 125 Caster Sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 mini Cadbury Creme Eggs chopped
- 100g grated plain chocolate
Instructions
- Pour the milk and vanilla extract into a saucepan
- Beat together the egg yolks and sugar until they are pale and creamy.
Stir in the milk, return the liquid to the saucepan and stir
continuously over a low heat until it thickens and coats the back of your spoon. Make sure the mixture does not boil - Remove the pan from the heat, and leave to cool
- Once cool, add the chopped Cadbury Creme Eggs and grated chocolate and stir well
- Transfer into a tub and place into the freezer
- Every 30 to 45 minutes bring out the mixture and stir until mixture is frozen
To make this extra special I found some easter bunny paper cups so D could have the experience of her treat when we go to the cinema or theatre at a much cheaper price
Lots of variations of this ice cream, such as smarties, flake or for the grown ups bounty
Enjoy!
